her horses are something to talk about.

INTRODUCING FOR SALE

Charley's Jurne Shadow's Image
Foaled: June 2, 2005
Dam: Kala's Lou M - 83-23457
Sire: Red's Flaxy Shadow - F-18878
I would like to introduce you to Jurne (Journey). Jurne's dam is 23 this year &
probably won't be bred again as she suffers from the heaves. His sire, Shadow, died this year at age 27.
That should begin to tell you that Jurne has exceptionally old names on his papers. He is a real rareity for today's
fox trottes. Since I can't figure out how to get his papers on email & them be readable I'll just quote
them to you.
1st line: Red's Flaxy Shadow & Kala Lou's M
2nd line: Ramblin Red, Penny,
Little Charlie's Duke, Diamond's Celia
3rd line: King, Flaxy C, Wing Commander, Copper Coin, Little Charlie, Black
Bridgett, Black Diamond S, Little Charlie's Goldie
4th line: Kissee Fox, Lou Ann (Earl Silvey Saddle Mare), Everett
Tidwell stud, Roxie (O L Hart mare), Anacacho Shamrock, Flirtation Walk, unk, unk, Old Charley, Dicy, Cothan Dare,
Old Beauty, Duke (Nottingham Stud), Ira Miller mare, Little Charley, Litle Beauty
I don't think you will find another
yearling colt that carries as old a bloodlines up close as does Jurne. He is a treasure of old fox trot blood.
He can provide the infusion needed for the modern bred mares to produce good fox trotting foals.
I don't know if
Jurne's mane & tail will lighten up anymore or not. These foals seem to change colors with the seasons &
not be the same from one year to the next. What I can tell you is that he has a super thick & wavy mane
& tail. So right now he is a sorrel with one white sock. I can see him maturing out to be a magnificant
horse with plenty of presence about him.
Jurne leads well; is easy to handle; trailers; has no problems with his
feet being handled & trimed. He's a good boy & needs a good home fairly soon. He is one of kind.
Jurne will be located in Ohio come November 2006. Jurne will enter
training using Clinton Anderson/Parelli natural horsemanship techniques.
Price will go up as training progresses.

Barney is a 2 year old gelding out of a Barnes' bred mare & a stud still
having Ramblin Red, Kissee Fox & Wing Commander on his papers. So Barney is without a doubt an old style fox trotter.
He's not gonna be as fast as some in his fox trot but will be smooth & sure footed. Barney
has had 30 days training & an 8 day organized trail ride this year. His trainer said she had never had a youngster
feel so solid under her as Barney did right off. He stands well for the farrier, trailer loads easily, enjoys a bath,
shears, stands on a picket line, mounts from either side standing very still, starting to neck rein, sidepasses both ways,
backs easily, rides with saddle bags & large rain slicker, rides alone or with a group, etc. Barney
is a very sweet natured guy. His attitude of willingness & great effort to please was so very obvious that it made him
a very popular horse at the trail ride. If this kind of attitude is what you are looking for then Barney is the horse
for you.

Miss Snippet is the daughter of Kentucky's Heart Stopper B & Paints Big
Bess. She happens to be a carbon copy of her mama which makes her a QH type looker. She has been heavily muscled since the
first week or so. She has a beautiful round butt, broad chest, great neck connecting to a good shoulder, great bone, little
head with big liquid eyes, large nostrils, & standing square. She is sweet & easy to handle & naturally gaited.
She has Barnes breeding both top & bottom along with Ramblin Red, Wing Commander, & a complete package of Songer &
Roscoe bloodlines too. Truly the old style fox trotter breeding.

Paint's Big Bess Bess is a sweetheart of a mare &
an excellent broodmare. She is in foal to S A Hank for a 2006 foal. I hate to sell her but my numbers have gotten
too high for my accommodations. Bess is a daughter of Lawrence Barnes' Old Paint & a grand-daughter to Black Diamond
S who was a combination of Morgan, Cotham Dare, & Charley bloodlines. Bess stands about 15.2, is 10 years old, &
gives spotted foals about 50% of the time when not bred to a spotted stud.

Hanky Panky was a real surprise to us here at Burton Farms. I have
never bred for color & sure didn't expect to see a loud sabino in my barn. Imagine my shock the morning I walked
out to feed & found Hanky. I can't tell you where the color came from other than both Dare & Hank have stockings,
blazes, & lower lip spots. Hank of course has a body spot the size of a base ball but who would have expected this
coloration from a chestnut mare & a bay stud? Regardless of his color Hanky is a great
product of his generations of wonderfully sweet, intelligent, naturally gaited ancestors. If ever I've had a foal that
will be 16 hands it is Hanky. He is built beautifully with a nice short back & is quick to learn. He is just
a great little (big) colt to be around. Dare's Hanky Panky B&B is a colt that has it
all. Both his sire (Songer's Ambraw Hank) & dam (Maden's Ramblin Dare-A-Lin) are of very old bloodlines making him
a Rambling Red grandson & bringing Shoshone's Baron up close with all the good blood behind him. He's naturally
gaited, built to perfection, sweet as the day is long, & deserves a really good home & someone to enjoy all he has
to offer.

soft gait, & really sweet disposition. He's one of those special ones that makes you smile when you look his
way.
